2) Fear of Being Touched
Haphephobia is a specific phobia, also quite rare that involves the fear of being touching. For some of the people they with haphephobia by birth (heredity and genetic factors), while others may probably develop it, after being caught with a bad experience. Sometimes, the fear may occur specifically, or predominantly of being touched by someone belonging to the opposite or same sex can also be associated with sexual assault. There are reports that proves, many boys especially those who have been the victims of sexual abuse are the one who suffer with this discomfort of having being touched. For them, the fear exposes a reaction something that burns in them like fire when touched, and may also cause them to freeze up or even to lash out.
The symptoms that are most likely experienced by sufferers can vary person by person. However, a list of symptoms includes: Constant thoughts of getting touched and panicking with physical signs of shivering, increased heartbeat, sweating and Breathlessness, clammy hands, dizziness and fainting, nausea or vomiting, hot and cold flushes, Muscle tension and rigidity, dry mouth Numbness etc. Haphephobia can be treated with combined efforts of psychotherapies and medications to bring the phobia under control or to normal state.
