The impulses are carried in electrical mode but at the end of axons or near synapse, neurotransmitter like acetylcholine chemically transforms the impulse which is again conducted in electrical mode past the synapse. But in autistic condition there is unusual synapse which is connected differently that leads to difficulty in articulation and interpretation involving thinking process, repetitive behavior, introvert with restricted social interaction and verbal/non-verbal disabilities. The exact cause is yet to be ascertained.
