Learn how to play guitar
In order to learn to play guitar, one has to develop essential skills and have knowledge of the music theory. The first step of leaning guitar is to understand its anatomy. That includes names and functions of its parts. Its parts are – head, tuning peg, nut, fret board, position markers, pickup or sound hole, body, bridge.
The next step is to learn to read tabs or tablature which has bar divisions having beats per bar. The horizontal line stands for a guitar string. Thus, the line at the top is the first string and the bottom one the sixth string. The numbers at these horizontal lines are the fret numbers indicating the fret to play. It is important to understand the fret board and to identify the notes on the guitar, twelve in number. Each fret is for a specific note. The next step is to learn to open chords by reading chord diagrams. By doing so, one can learn songs that are easy. Enough practice should be done for this.
The next step is learning strumming a guitar. By learning rhythms, one can develop as a complete musician. Basic theories of music and notations should be understood which includes music intervals, in the electric guitars, it is important to learn to use a guitar pick. Warm up exercises should be done before the guitar practice. A practice plan should be made, devoting at least 45 to 60 minutes daily for it. Learning to change the strings of guitar and tune them and using metronome are also an important part of our aim of learning guitar.
