Unemployment Benefits
The government is trying to take care of people in the nation in every possible way. One example of it is the provision of unemployment benefits. There are some people who lose their jobs or work for various reasons, due to which the source of family incomes comes to zero. In such cases the unemployment benefits can be taken. Purpose of these benefits is to give a certain amount to the person who has lost the job, for a certain period of time, until he manages to get a new job or work. The unemployment benefits are given by the state unemployment insurance programs while adhering to the guidelines or rules formed by the Federal law. The various factors are studied and then the eligibility of the candidate to avail these benefits is decided. The amount to be given and the period for which the amount to be given are determined by the person’s present condition and the state law.
To get the unemployment costs, the person should satisfy the eligibility requirements for the compensation earned and the time duration of working. Importantly, the person must be able to prove that the reason for unemployment is not his or her own fault.
The following conditions may disqualify a person from having the unemployment benefits; however the law or rules for eligibility may differ from state to state.
· Person has quit from the existing job without giving any good cause
· Person is fired on the account of misconduct
· Illness is a main cause for resignation; in this case the disability benefits can help.
