Why is recycling important?

Recycle is a process of using the material which is considered as a waste once again to produce something new. It is one of the well known techniques of waste management. With the growing population, the waste materials produced are also increasing and disposing off all this waste is a serious problem. Moreover, this waste is occupying the land as well as water bodies to make them useless. It is also one of the major contributors towards the climate change issue.

Recycling is one of the solutions to this problem which aims at reusing the waste and produces something usable from it. All the materials such as glass, metal, newspaper, clothes, plastic are all recyclable. All of these can be recycled to create some new and useful items. Recycling is surely helpful to keep the environment clean and less polluted. Actually, on many of the packing boxes made up of paper, we can see the logo made up of 3 arrows forming a triangle, which says “reduce, recycle and reuse”. This is the technique of producing less waste by reusing and recycling them as much as possible.

Energy or power crisis is the main issue faced by many countries. Recycling and re-using saves energy in a way, that when we recycle or reuse anything, the energy to create a new item is saved. If all the people on earth practice recycle and reuse, a great amount of energy can be saved. It also helps to save or preserve the natural resources such as trees, petroleum products, water etc as old products are used as raw material.
